About this policy
AleaLens helps you explore public Serenity posts, ticker mentions and market information. It is provided by Elviont Technologies, which is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You do not need an AleaLens account to use the app.
This policy covers the AleaLens iOS app, its content and notification services, these information pages, and messages you send to our support team. For privacy questions, contact alealens@elviont.nl.
Information we process
- On your device
- Language preferences, alert settings, public post identifiers used to avoid duplicate in-app alerts, and cached app content. These support your reading experience and do not create an advertising profile.
- Content requests
- Our servers receive standard connection information, such as your IP address and request headers, when the app loads public posts and quotes or you visit these pages. Operational error records may contain request information.
- Optional notifications
- If you enable remote alerts, the app registers an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token with our notification server, together with the notification language, enabled state, app version and build, app identifier, platform and APNs environment. The token identifies a delivery destination for your device.
- Subscriptions
- Apple processes purchases and billing. The app uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information to check Plus access and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card number or Apple Account password.
- Support messages
- When you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information or attachments you choose to include. Please share only what is needed to explain the issue.
AleaLens does not request access to your contacts, precise location, photo library, camera or microphone for its current features. It contains no advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not combine app data with data from other companies for targeted advertising.
How we use information
We use the information above to deliver and refresh content, apply your preferences, check subscription access, send alerts you have enabled, answer support requests, and investigate service errors or abuse.
Where the GDPR applies, processing needed to provide a service you request is based on performing that service; optional notification permission is based on your choice; and necessary security, reliability and support administration serve our legitimate interests. We may also process information to meet applicable legal obligations. We do not use this information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Services and data locations
Our content delivery service uses Alibaba Cloud hosting in mainland China. Our content collector and push notification service use Vultr hosting in the Netherlands. Your connection information is therefore processed where the service you access is hosted; notification registration is sent to the notification service. These locations may be outside your country of residence.
Our servers retrieve public information from sources including the Serenity archive on GitHub, Yahoo Finance, Nasdaq and Stooq. App content requests go through AleaLens servers; we do not forward your device’s IP address or request headers to these public content providers.
Apple provides purchases, subscription management, APNs and the system translation functionality used by the app. Apple’s services operate under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Hosting and email service providers process information needed to operate the service or deliver your support message. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to protect legal rights.
When you choose to open a source or other external link, that website receives your request directly and its own privacy policy applies.
Storage and retention
App preferences and cached content remain on your device until cleared, replaced or removed with the app. Apple may retain purchase records under its own policies.
The notification server disables a registered token when it learns that alerts are off, Plus access is inactive, or APNs reports that the token is invalid. Disabling a token stops delivery; it does not automatically erase the registration record. Disabled records may remain in the server state, and there is currently no fixed automatic deletion period. Contact us to request deletion of information we can identify as yours.
Support correspondence and operational records are retained as needed to resolve the request, maintain the service and meet applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and the issue involved; we do not promise a single deletion period for all records.
We use encrypted HTTPS connections and restrict server administration access. No storage or transmission method can provide an absolute security guarantee.
Your choices and rights
- Notifications: change alert preferences in AleaLens or turn off notification permission in iOS Settings. The app updates its registration when it next checks the relevant settings.
- Local data: delete the app to remove its local app data. This does not automatically remove server records or cancel an Apple subscription.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel through Apple Subscriptions.
- Privacy requests: email alealens@elviont.nl to ask about access, correction or deletion of personal information we hold.
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a data protection authority. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your request and locate the relevant record; we will not ask for your Apple Account password. We respond within the periods required by applicable law.

This website
These privacy and support pages use no analytics, advertising trackers or cookies. Support search runs in your browser and does not send your search terms to us. The web server still receives the connection information needed to serve a page.
AleaLens is a market-research app and is not directed at children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.

We may update this policy when the app, our services or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated through the app or another appropriate channel.
